A familiar parable...a good reminder this time of year....

An old Cherokee was teaching his young grandson one of life’s most important lessons. He told the young boy the following parable:

“There is a fight going on inside each of us. It is a terrible fight between two wolves,” he said.

“One wolf is evil. He is anger, rage, envy, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, resentment, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The second wolf is good. He is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, empathy, truth, compassion, and faith.”

The grandson thought about this for a moment. Then he asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win this fight?”The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.

Which are you feeding today?

Dear Sally,
How beautiful is this parable. Living in Santa Fe and learning so much about the Native Americans, I must say we should all learn from them. They have so much to teach us.
Thank you for this.

Love to you and musical hugs,
Aleta and the gangxxooooo

Dear Sally--

Yes, this indeed is a beautiful parable. Today I am feeding the good wolf--most days I am feeding the good wolf. I surround myself with people who do the same, and I listen to my Higher Power. Each day is a gift, and I do my best to honor this gift.

Thank you for feeding your good wolf--you are a blessing!

Dear Sally,
I bought my first pair of Birks because of your beautiful soul. The body didn't hurt. I now own many, many pairs and still admire your beautiful soul. This parable only aids my belief in that soul. It's quite beautiful--reminds me of the Buddhist parables. I'm a Buddhist by nature. No 'God', only the higher self for which we are solely responsible. I try to feed the good wolf every day, but sometimes I'm afraid that the bad wolf gets most of what I have. Keep working for the good.
